About Knuckles Mountain Range
The Knuckles Mountain Range is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its striking resemblance to the knuckles of a clenched fist. It is an area of immense biodiversity, featuring cloud forests, sweeping grasslands (patanas), and cascading waterfalls. It remains largely untouched by mass tourism, offering some of the most rewarding and challenging hiking and trekking trails in all of Sri Lanka.

February to April and July to September. The range receives rain in multiple monsoon patterns — conditions can be changeable. Multi-day treks (2-4 days) are particularly spectacular.
