About Dambulla
Dambulla is renowned for its Cave Temple, the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The five main caves contain incredible statues and paintings related to Gautama Buddha and his life. Located on a massive rock towering over the plains, Dambulla also serves as a central hub for exploring the Cultural Triangle. The nearby wholesale produce market also offers a vivid slice of local life.
