A ridge-top town suspended between sky and sea — with Lipton's legendary view
About Haputale
Haputale literally clings to a high mountain ridge, offering incredible panoramic views that drop away to the southern plains, sometimes visible all the way to the coast. It is less touristy than Ella but offers equally stunning scenery. Nearby is the famous Lipton's Seat, the historic viewpoint where Sir Thomas Lipton used to survey his vast tea empire.
