The south coast's best-kept secret — blowhole, giant Buddha, and hidden surf coves
About Dikwella
Dikwella (or Dickwella) features a large, sandy beach protected by headlands, reefs, and sandbars, making it safer for swimming than many other southern beaches. The town is famous for the Wewurukannala Vihara, an impressive temple featuring a 160-foot high seated Buddha statue. Just a few kilometers away is the Hummanaya Blowhole, the second-largest natural blowhole in the world.
