The Premium Student Volunteer Package offers high school and university students, especially education and environmental majors, the unique opportunity to make a lasting positive impact in Sri Lanka. This program balances meaningful community development work with exciting environmental conservation, leadership workshops, and signature travel experiences.
Students will reside in cozy local homestays or eco-certified lodges, experiencing authentic local hospitality and deep cultural exchange. The volunteering program focuses on supporting village schools, teaching conversational English, organizing school painting projects, and participating in vital tree-planting initiatives and coastal beach cleanups.
Throughout the journey, students will participate in daily leadership workshops, reflections, and certificate ceremonies, while enjoying cultural dance classes, temple visits, and a wildlife jeep safari in Minneriya National Park.

Arrive at BIA. Welcome by project coordinators. Private transfer to your Colombo eco-lodge. Rest and recover from your flight. Evening welcome dinner and initial icebreaking session.
Detailed orientation on volunteer safety, project goals, and cultural guidelines. Participate in a guided Colombo City Tour exploring heritage sites and local markets. Conclude with an evening youth leadership and expectation setting workshop.
Transfer to a rural village in the Sigiriya/Habarana area. Check-in to your local homestay. Visit the village school, meet the teachers and children, and commence the first day of teaching conversational English, math, and sports.

Day two of teaching and volunteering at the village school. Organize a community school wall painting project, collaborating with the children to create vibrant, educational murals. Evening reflection session.
Final day of school volunteering. Organize games, a small quiz competition, and exchange farewell gifts. Spend the afternoon visiting a historic Buddhist temple and enjoying a private village cultural immersion tour.
Participate in a morning leadership workshop focusing on teamwork and project management. In the afternoon, go on an exciting wildlife jeep safari in Minneriya National Park to observe large herds of wild elephants and diverse bird species.
Transfer south to Galle. Join a marine conservation team on the southern coast. Participate in a beach cleanup project, learning about marine plastic pollution, sea turtle conservation, and ocean ecosystems. Evening beach sunset circle.
Launch a community reforestation campaign. Plant native trees in a degraded coastal zone. Learn about local ecosystem recovery. Followed by a group reflection on environmental stewardship.
Return to Colombo. Participate in a traditional Sri Lankan cooking class, learning how to make local curries. In the evening, watch a vibrant Kandyan cultural dance show. Conclude with a farewell group dinner.
Final reflection workshop and project debriefing. Participate in an official Certificate of Completion Ceremony recognizing your volunteering contribution. Private transfer to BIA for your departure flight home.
